Alumni

M.S. 2025
Mya Mitchell is a second-year Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering student from Bowie, Maryland. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Working with Dr. Han, Mya is completing her Masters capstone to conduct a Life Cycle Assessment on footwear midsole materials. This project evaluates different manufacturing techniques, with a focus on material selection, circularity, and end-of-life recycling for improved product development. Her research interests include manufacturing systems, sustainability operations, and product development strategies. She is a former NCA&T Woodland Hall Fellowship recipient and a current member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
